    About the role#

    Waukesha County is hiring an intern for the Department of Public Works, Facilities Management Division. This position involves technical work related to building systems and documentation. The role is temporary, lasting between 3 and 12 months, and offers flexibility for your school schedule.

    What you'll do#

    • Collect and enter data into the automated facility management system.
    • Verify architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems on-site.
    • Prepare and update building drawings using AutoCAD.
    • Locate information regarding current buildings and equipment.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an architectural, engineering, or related post-high school degree program.
    • Familiarity with AutoCAD and building-related software systems.
    • A basic understanding of construction and architectural blueprints.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and maintain effective relationships with staff.
    • Reliability and dependability.

    • Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin.
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Up to 30 hours per week.
    • Pay rate: Up to $21.52 per hour depending on qualifications.
    • Requirements: Candidates must pass a background check conducted by the Sheriff's Department. You must be authorized to work in the United States.
