About the role#
As a Systems Engineer Intern, you will join the Systems Engineering team in Blauvelt, New York, for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position focuses on supporting training initiatives by creating and updating essential documentation. You will work under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Systems Engineering to ensure our training materials are consistent, accessible, and aligned with company branding.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply branding guidelines across four Watts entities.
- Create presentation templates for both branded and generic training materials.
- Update outdated presentations and training documents to improve visual consistency.
- Support quality and customer focus by organizing technical information into clear content.
- Collaborate with coworkers and maintain positive daily interactions.
- Take on additional projects and duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant major.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- A strong sense of accountability and commitment to integrity.
- Ability to adhere to all applicable laws, codes, policies, and safety practices.
- Successful completion of background checks and employment eligibility verification.
- Preferred: Experience creating presentation templates, familiarity with branding guidelines, or experience organizing technical information.
Location & details#
- Location: Blauvelt, New York (On-site).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $22-$26 per hour.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, with hours communicated by your manager.
- Physical requirements: Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and wear required personal protective equipment.
