About the role#
As a Research & Development Intern, you will join the Laboratory team to support water treatment projects. This role focuses on applying engineering and scientific principles to help develop scalable water treatment solutions. You will report to the Laboratory Manager and work on-site in Fort Myers, Florida, during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support water treatment projects by developing specialized design tools for scalable applications.
- Contribute to instrumentation-focused projects that support research and development.
- Apply your knowledge of biology or electrochemistry to relevant project tasks.
- Assist with colorimetric projects and testing activities.
- Analyze and process project data to support evaluation and reporting.
- Take on additional projects and duties as assigned by management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology.
- Interest in water treatment processes and applications.
- Strong sense of accountability and a commitment to integrity in all interactions.
- Understanding of and adherence to safety practices, laws, codes, and policies.
- Experience with data analysis and processing.
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation or colorimetric testing methods.
- Ability to successfully establish employment eligibility and complete required background checks and pre-employment testing.
