About the role#
This is a part-time, paid Pharmacy Pre-Grad Intern position based in Calera, Alabama. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting, focusing on patient care and operational support.
What you'll do#
- Process prescription and over-the-counter orders and purchases.
- Deliver patient care by assessing needs and helping navigate clinical therapies.
- Manage inventory and maintain the pharmacy area.
- Receive and stock supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all information, documentation, and records in compliance with company policies and legal guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Pharmacy school.
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical care and best practices.
- Ability to build relationships with customers and the pharmacy team.
- Skill in catering to individual patient needs.
- Commitment to following HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
- Enthusiasm for community outreach and events.
- Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification is preferred.
