About the role#
This internship focuses on how parts are planned, stocked, and managed for field teams. You will work with the Facilities Services, Parts & Tools, and field operations teams to help the organization move toward an inventory-driven approach. Your goal is to identify ways to improve efficiency and first-time-fix outcomes for our field technicians.
What you'll do#
- Learn the current parts and inventory planning processes that support our field teams.
- Analyze data on inventory, demand, availability, and usage to find areas for improvement.
- Evaluate how current inventory levels and strategies impact field productivity.
- Create recommendations for right-sizing inventory and improving planning discipline.
- Partner with finance and operations stakeholders to validate your findings.
- Build clear dashboards, analyses, or decision materials to support inventory actions.
- Present an actionable strategy and implementation plan to business leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in business, finance, supply chain, analytics, operations, or a related field.
- Experience with spreadsheets, reporting, dashboards, or business analysis.
- Coursework, projects, or previous internships in inventory management, supply chain, finance, or operations.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to translate data patterns into practical recommendations.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- An interest in field service operations and continuous improvement.
