About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work on-site in Windham, Maine. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term. You will assist the pharmacy team in delivering clinical services, managing daily operations, and supporting customer health needs.
What you'll do#
- Provide pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medication usage and preventive healthcare.
- Review, interpret, and dispense prescribed medications while ensuring proper compounding and verification.
- Support pharmacy workflow, financial optimization, and inventory management.
- Engage with customers to resolve issues and provide a positive experience.
- Perform retail, clinical, and wellness services, including immunizations.
- Process insurance claims and coordinate with medical providers to clarify prescriptions.
- Assist the pharmacy manager with staff hiring, training, and performance coaching.
- Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all regulations and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution before your start date.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
- Certified Immunizer status, or a willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire.
