About the role#
This internship is part of the Sustainability and Innovation team. You will support the development and execution of government grant projects for zero emission technologies, charging infrastructure, and R&D. The role involves working closely with project managers to demonstrate new products and technologies for the North American market.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the development and execution of projects for Volvo Construction Equipment.
- Develop and track work scope, deliverables, time plans, and budgets.
- Write summary reports.
- Review and track government funding opportunities by state or province.
- Notify district sales managers and dealers about open funding opportunities and submission deadlines.
- Follow up with district sales managers and dealers on the status of funding applications.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an engineering degree program or a related field at an accredited university.
- Completion of at least 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship.
- A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- A background in project management is desirable.
- Strong skills in organization, time management, and critical thinking.

- Location: Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: This position involves a mix of remote work and time in an office setting.
- Travel: Some travel may be required.
- Schedule: Interns may work up to 30 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an hourly range of $17.00 to $46.00, depending on factors such as academic classification and location.
