About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at Voith Group, you will assist our design engineering team in the development of machinery for the paper industry. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience while supporting the design and documentation of mechanical systems. You will work on-site in Appleton, Wisconsin.
What you'll do#
- Use computer aided design software to create and detail machine designs.
- Review designs to ensure they meet engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements.
- Prepare detailed drawings, part records, bills of material, and instruction manuals.
- Perform engineering calculations related to mechanical strength, safety, reliability, and cost.
- Coordinate with internal departments and customers to address order issues and maintain project schedules.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Bachelor of Science program for Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least 2 years of engineering coursework.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Inventor and SAP is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work on a computer and phone while sitting or standing for extended periods.
