About the role#
Vital Lyfe is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our team for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on the software that supports our consumer hardware products. As we scale our manufacturing processes, your contributions will directly impact how we build, track, and deliver our units. You will work alongside senior engineers to maintain the tools and infrastructure that power our operations.
What you'll do#
- Build and improve internal tools that provide real-time visibility into production and manufacturing workflows.
- Write integrations and scripts to connect systems and ensure data reliability.
- Design and maintain dashboards to help teams interpret operational data.
- Assist with backend and cloud infrastructure tasks as we scale our services.
- Debug issues, write tests, and ship improvements alongside senior engineers.
What you'll need#
- Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Experience with a modern programming language like Python or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with APIs, web applications, or cloud-based systems.
- A practical approach to problem solving, with the ability to work through challenges and ask for help when needed.
- Interest in software that supports real-world products, hardware-software integration, or IoT systems.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Experience supporting live backend systems or building user interfaces with React is a plus.
- Exposure to SQL, structured data formats, or AWS is beneficial.
Location & details#
- Location: Torrance, California.
- Modality: This position is 100% on-site.
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $30 to $33 per hour.
