About the role#
We offer veterinary students the chance to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. You will work alongside experienced veterinary teams to learn our methods and observe daily operations. You will rotate through various roles in the hospital, including reception and veterinary support, to gain a complete view of how a clinic functions. A mentor veterinarian will guide you as you work toward personalized learning goals.
What you'll do#
- Act as an assistant across various clinic roles.
- Communicate with clients and manage patient care.
- Prepare for and monitor surgical procedures.
- Use clinic software for daily tasks.
- Assist with clinical measures under supervision.
- Rotate through different hospital departments to observe processes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the first, second, or third year of an accredited veterinary medicine program.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
- Availability for a period of 6 to 16 weeks.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule of 20 to 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
