About the role#
Vermont Mutual Insurance Group offers a paid, full-time summer internship for students interested in the insurance industry. This 10-week program runs from June 7 through August 13, 2027. You will work on-site in Montpelier, Vermont, gaining practical experience while exploring various career paths within our organization.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to individual and team projects.
- Explore career paths in Software Development, Infrastructure, Help Desk Support, and Policy Services.
- Learn about how different areas of the insurance industry function outside of IT.
- Build your professional network by connecting with peers and industry leaders.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Programming, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- You are detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Ability to commute to our Montpelier, VT office.
