About the role#
Vermont Mutual Insurance Group offers a paid, full-time summer internship for students interested in the insurance industry. This 10-week program runs from June 7 through August 13, 2027. You will work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical experience and explore different career paths within the company.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through key business areas including Commercial and Personal Lines Underwriting, Claims, and Risk Analysis.
- Learn how the company evaluates risks and makes business decisions.
- Build professional connections throughout the organization.
What you'll need#
- You must be a rising junior or senior pursuing a BS degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.
- You should be detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
- You must be able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

- This is an on-site role based in Montpelier, Vermont.
- You must be able to commute to the office daily.
- This is a sedentary office position involving frequent computer use.
