About the role#
We are looking for an intern to assist our RF/microwave engineering team with the design and development of products for military and space-based applications. You will work under direct supervision to design and simulate RF/microwave components and circuits while gaining experience in the design, manufacturing, and testing of microwave products.
What you'll do#
- Design and evaluate components and test circuits using available layout and design tools.
- Provide simulation results and perform tolerance analysis.
- Collaborate with other interns, test engineering, and technicians on specific program tasks.
- Develop test procedures, test stations, and data reduction software.
- Perform reviews before design release and prepare presentations for gated design reviews.
- Correlate expected performance with test results and perform data reduction.
- Follow standard design processes and support the Material Review Board process.
- Understand manufacturing approaches and limitations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Strong background in physics and mathematics.
- Basic knowledge of and interest in microwave theory.
- Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and conduct structured problem solving.
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD, HFSS, and circuit simulation and modeling tools.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MATLAB.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Electromagnetics coursework is preferred.
- 3D modeling experience is desired.
