About the role#
We are looking for an intern to assist our RF/microwave engineering team with the design and development of products for military and space applications. You will work under direct supervision to design and simulate components and circuits while gaining hands-on knowledge in RF design, manufacturing, and testing.
What you'll do#
- Design and simulate RF/microwave components and circuits using layout tools.
- Collaborate with other interns, test engineering, and technicians on program tasks.
- Develop test procedures, test stations, and data reduction software.
- Prepare presentations for gated design reviews and perform reviews before design release.
- Evaluate test circuits and correlate expected performance with actual test results.
- Analyze nominal simulation results alongside tolerance analysis.
- Support the Material Review Board process and provide production support.
- Ensure project tasks meet established schedules and follow standard design processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- Strong physics and mathematics course load, with preference for electromagnetics coursework.
- Basic understanding of microwave theory and a strong interest in the field.
- Experience with AutoCAD, HFSS, and circuit simulation tools.
- Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and conduct structured problem solving.
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office and MATLAB.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical, time management, and communication skills.
- 3D modelling experience is desired.
