About the role#
The Quality Engineer Intern position is a 12-14 week summer program running from May to August. You will work within a team to implement manufacturing process improvements and collaborate across the organization on projects related to design for manufacturability and cost savings.
What you'll do#
- Work with a team to implement manufacturing process improvements.
- Partner with mentors and champions to identify methods for automating processes.
- Use a structured engineering approach to deploy process control best practices and improve yields.
- Create or update process documentation and work instructions.
- Lead capital projects to address production capacity and technology capability issues.
- Present project updates to the local leadership team.
- Attend workshops and trade shows.
What you'll need#
- Current college junior status pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Systems, or Industrial Engineering.
- Programming experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience applying engineering concepts to solve problems.
- Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams.
- Eagerness to learn quickly.
