About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our electrical engineering team. You will assist in the design and development of products for military and space-based applications. Under direct supervision, you will design and simulate circuits while gaining experience in analog and digital design, manufacturing, and testing.
What you'll do#
- Design and evaluate electrical circuits.
- Utilize CAD software to implement and review circuit layouts.
- Work with other interns, technicians, and engineers on specific program tasks.
- Perform reviews before design releases.
- Prepare presentations for gated design reviews.
- Identify and evaluate new components for use in designs.
- Review manufacturing approaches and evaluate limitations against current designs.
- Work independently or within a team environment.
What you'll need#
- Currently majoring in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- A basic understanding and strong interest in analog and digital electronics.
- Experience with circuit simulation using SPICE and logic simulation using Modelsim (VHDL/Verilog).
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams.
- Actively pursues opportunities to expand job-related knowledge.
- Microelectronics coursework is preferred.
- PCB design experience using Altium is desired.
