About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, for 12 to 14 weeks between May and August. You will collaborate across the organization on projects focused on design for manufacturability and cost savings.
What you'll do#
- Work with a team to implement manufacturing process improvements.
- Collaborate with mentors to identify methods for automating processes.
- Use a structured engineering approach to deploy best practices for process control and yield improvement.
- Create or update process documentation and work instructions.
- Compare current manufacturing practices with industry benchmarks and propose improvements.
- Lead capital projects to address production capacity and technology capability issues.
- Present project updates to the local leadership team.
- Attend occasional workshops and trade shows.
What you'll need#
- Current college Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience applying engineering concepts to solve problems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Skills in project management and structured problem solving.
- Experience designing and analyzing experiments using statistical tools.
- Ability to make data-based and ethical decisions.
- Strong verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
- Capability to lead and work within cross-functional teams.
- Eagerness to learn quickly.
