About the role#
This is a temporary, part-time internship for students currently enrolled in the Arlington Independent School District’s Water Careers Education program. You will work under ongoing supervision to observe and assist with various projects across our operations. This role is designed to provide exposure to the water and environmental services industry through a variety of tasks.
What you'll do#
- Observe and assist with projects and assignments across different departments.
- Participate in water sampling and testing procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks including filing, sorting, analyzing information, and reporting.
- Assist in observing construction, operations, and instrumentation maintenance.
- Work with tools such as automatic sampling equipment, calibration devices, and office software.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in the Arlington Independent School District’s Water Careers Education course.
- A valid Texas driver's license.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds daily and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Location & details#
- Locations: Dallas, Euless, and Arlington, Texas.
- This is an on-site, paid internship.
- The term is rolling, with a maximum duration of nine months.
- Work may involve exposure to weather, chemical hazards, gases, and dust.
