About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for an R&D Material Laboratory Intern. You will work on-site in Fort Wayne, Indiana, supporting our engineering team with material testing and data analysis.
What you'll do#
- Test polymer samples to characterize their physical and thermal properties for chemical compatibility and modeling.
- Run tests according to ASTM, customer, and other industry standards.
- Analyze data and maintain accurate records.
- Follow ISO17025 lab accreditation procedures.
- Keep the laboratory organized and compliant with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by your manager.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in a scientific degree program, or an Associate degree in Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, or a similar field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Technical writing skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time to meet project deadlines.
- A professional, positive attitude.
- Experience with coding and MS Office is preferred, as is prior lab experience.
- You must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.
