About the role#
This internship offers an inside look at product development at Trek. You will work alongside experienced designers and cross-functional teams to contribute to real-world design challenges. This is a full-time, on-site role based at our headquarters in Waterloo, Wisconsin, for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and prototyping of bicycle components and systems.
- Support sketching, CAD modeling, rendering, and design reviews.
- Support rider research and early brainstorming of future mobility ideas.
- Ride bikes to help test and validate designs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design.
- Strong sketching and storytelling skills.
- Experience building, assembling, and testing prototypes.
- Familiarity with CAD software, specifically Onshape and Rhino or Blender.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for bicycles and interest in product design.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping or fabrication is a plus.
