About the role#
TRC Companies is looking for a Power Distribution Intern for our Summer 2027 program in Maitland, Florida. This is a paid, full-time position that runs from June through August. You will work under the supervision of project managers and team leaders, partnering with engineers and scientists on various energy projects.
What you'll do#
- Spend the first half of your internship working in the field, which requires daily travel.
- Start your work day early to accommodate field requirements and work 10-hour days.
- Assist the team with project tasks and back-office responsibilities.
- Learn basic design skills during the second half of the internship.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- Junior or senior standing in a Bachelor or Associate degree program for Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical and problem-solving abilities.
- A self-motivated, detail-oriented, and hard-working approach.
