About the role#
We are looking for a Power Distribution Intern to join our team in Lanham, Maryland for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position that runs from June through August. You will work under the supervision of project managers and team leaders, collaborating with engineers and scientists on various tasks.
What you'll do#
- Support office-based projects, focusing on overhead tasks and proposal development.
- Assist with site layouts for electrical power provision.
- Gain exposure to utility design standards, engineering workflows, and project delivery processes.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- Current junior or senior status pursuing a Bachelor or Associate Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills alongside solid technical and problem-solving abilities.
- A self-motivated and detail-oriented mindset.
- We prefer candidates with experience in AutoCAD or exposure to finance.
- A willingness to learn and grow in a hard-working environment.
