About the role#
TRC Companies is looking for a Power Distribution Intern to join our team in Gahanna, Ohio, for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship. You will work alongside project managers, engineers, and scientists to support our energy infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Collect field data using hastings sticks and katapult collection tools.
- Walk between utility poles to gather data and take photographs.
- Use specialized software to measure and identify pole components.
- Assist with other project tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in a Bachelor or Associate degree program for Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A detail-oriented and self-motivated approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with AutoCAD and exposure to finance are preferred but not required.

- This role is based on-site in Gahanna, Ohio.
- The internship is scheduled for Summer 2027, typically spanning from June through August.
