IT Operational Execution Intern

About the role#

The IT Operational Execution Intern supports the IT operations team by managing software and hardware assets, tracking project progress, and assisting with the implementation of new systems. This role involves developing standard operating procedures and working with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and reduce waste. This is a year-round, paid, full-time internship with an anticipated one-year assignment and the possibility to continue until graduation.

What you'll do#

• Support the implementation of new IT systems and processes.
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement in IT operations.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate key performance indicators and project updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate IT activities and minimize operational gaps.
• Train users on new processes and provide technical support.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree program such as Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or Business Administration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with IT systems, networking, cybersecurity, and data backup and recovery principles.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and relevant software tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.

Location & details#

• Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin.
• Work Modality: On-site (5 days per week).
• Schedule: Flexible hours within normal business hours; 20 hours/week during the school year and up to 40 hours/week during the summer.
