About the role#
As an Accounts Payable Tracer in the Trace3xperience Program, you will work under the guidance of the accounts payable management team. This role provides exposure to the financial operations of an IT consulting organization, including vendor relations and the full accounts payable workflow. You will support our accounting, finance, and operations teams while gaining professional development and networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Match invoices against purchase orders and receipts.
- Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment exceptions.
- Ensure all invoices align with company approval policies.
- Monitor invoice aging and manage the prioritization of urgent payments.
- Assist with new vendor onboarding and the collection of necessary documentation.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding account status, payments, and invoices.
- Maintain positive vendor relationships while enforcing payment policies.
- Verify changes to banking information to support fraud prevention.
- Reconcile vendor statements and manage outstanding balances.
- Monitor open credits to ensure they are applied in a timely manner.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program.
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, accept direction, and solve problems.
- High attention to detail and a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
- Previous academic or professional internship experience is a plus.
