Legal Intern

About the role#

The Legal Intern supports the Legal Department by assisting with legal research, contract review, compliance initiatives, and administrative tasks. This position provides hands-on exposure to corporate and commercial legal matters and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams across the organization.

What you'll do#

• Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Assist in the preparation, drafting, and review of legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Draft and review commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, sales contracts, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
• Support the legal team in compliance, regulatory, and litigation-related matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, human resources, sales, and operations to support business objectives.
• Provide administrative support, including organizing and maintaining legal files and document management systems.
• Contribute to special projects and attend court hearings, arbitration proceedings, mediations, or client meetings for observational purposes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited law school or undergraduate program with a legal focus, specifically in Political Science, Business Administration, or Human Resources.
• Demonstrated interest in or relevant coursework related to corporate law, commercial transactions, or manufacturing and industrial operations.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
• Prior internship or work experience in a legal, corporate, or compliance-related environment is preferred.
