The IT Intern role supports foundational IT initiatives focused on operational efficiency and risk reduction. This position involves direct work with PC asset management, Service Desk issue documentation, and IT Service Management (ITSM) process mapping. The intern will help establish accurate asset visibility and standardize support procedures to improve service consistency and audit preparedness.
What you'll do#
- Assist in establishing, organizing, and improving PC asset management processes, including inventory, tracking, and data validation.
- Identify and document the top 10 most common Service Desk issues, creating clear, step-by-step resolution procedures.
- Work closely with Service Desk staff and other IT teams to understand current ITSM processes and document workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Assist with daily Service Desk operations and validate process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Basic understanding of IT concepts, Service Desk operations, or ITSM frameworks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools.
- An analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
