Systems Business Analyst Intern

About the role#

The Transfer Agency Transformation squad is seeking an analytical Systems Business Analyst Intern to support core infrastructure operations. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical development teams, focusing on data accessibility, reporting, and system integrity. You will work under the guidance of senior team members to help business users extract actionable insights from complex financial data systems.

What you'll do#

• Assist the business in defining report requirements and writing SQL-based queries to extract data.
• Support the maintenance of data dictionaries and document field attributes, relationships, and data structures.
• Work with senior team members to ensure data security standards are maintained, including the handling of sensitive fields.
• Serve as the first point of contact for business users experiencing issues with reporting tools and assist with user onboarding.
• Create and update documentation that explains how business applications interact with backend systems.
• Participate in squad meetings, document tasks, and manage the lifecycle of requests from initiation to production support.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Technology Management, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong interest in data structures, database management, and query languages.
• Prior experience or academic coursework in SQL is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel, including data imports, pivots, and add-ins.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a translator between non-technical business users and technical development teams.
• A disciplined approach to documentation and adherence to data privacy and security standards.

• Term: Fall 2026.
• Work Modality: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in the office).
• Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
