About the role#
Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Bridge Engineer Intern for our Transportation practice in Portland, Maine. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer of 2027. You will work on-site with our Bridge Team to support transportation infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Design projects or specific components from conception through construction.
- Conduct technical analyses and develop calculations.
- Interpret data to recognize problems and find solutions.
- Follow corporate quality control standards in your daily work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. program for Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- A strong academic record.
- Familiarity with BIM is a plus.
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer is helpful but not required.
