The Shipyard is seeking a Media Intern to join the team in Columbus, Ohio. This part-time, paid position offers hands-on experience with the media planning and buying process across traditional and digital channels. You will work 20-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
What you'll do#
- Support the Media Planning team with day-to-day campaign management for key accounts.
- Assist in developing and executing media plans across various channels.
- Maintain accuracy in media plans, budgets, flowcharts, and tracking documents.
- Support digital campaign pacing, trafficking, and reporting in collaboration with data and ad ops teams.
- Build proficiency in planning tools such as eMarketer, MRI-Simmons, Global Web Index, and Media Radar.
- Assist with vendor communications and document meeting action items.
- Monitor industry news and shifts in consumer behavior.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- Genuine curiosity about media planning, buying, and the advertising landscape.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort working with numbers and budgets.
- Proficiency or an eagerness to learn Excel and PowerPoint.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

- Location: Columbus, Ohio.
- Modality: Hybrid (in-office attendance required on Tuesdays and Thursdays).
- Status: Part-time (20-24 hours per week).
- Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
