About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in the information technology department. You will support daily operational activities and various technical projects. The role is designed for students entering their senior year to bridge classroom learning with real-world applications in a food and beverage manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and basic network issues.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of technology equipment.
- Support IT projects, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation and asset records.
- Resolve end-user technical issues.
- Follow company policies regarding cybersecurity and data security.
- Maintain the facility in an audit ready condition.
- Follow all food and personal safety rules, including GMP, OSHA, HACCP, and FDA Food Safety Modernization Act regulations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Completed your junior year and entering your senior year of an undergraduate program.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft applications.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies and work effectively in a team.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, checklists, and documentation.
- Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to use solid judgment when making decisions and adapt to changing work duties.
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
Location & details#
- Location: Fostoria, Ohio.
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
