About the role#
As an intern in our Worker's Compensation Claims department, you will gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. You will support our claims team by managing information and interacting with customers. This position is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Lake Mary, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Communicate with internal and external customers to gather and relay information regarding worker's compensation claims.
- Use critical thinking and mathematical skills to analyze information and reach sound conclusions.
- Make ethical decisions based on analysis and judgment, with oversight from management.
- Provide professional customer service through written and verbal channels.
- Contribute to a positive team environment that supports diversity and inclusion.
- Attend weekly professional development workshops and training sessions.
- Build your professional network by connecting with fellow interns and staff across the company.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts or a Business-related field.
- An expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- A record of self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership potential through extracurricular involvement.
- The ability to reason through complex problems while maintaining honesty and respect in all interactions.
