About the role#
The Beck Group is hiring Construction Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Atlanta. You will work alongside project management and field supervision staff, gaining experience in project administration, field engineering, and site supervision. Interns operate in a capacity similar to an entry-level Project Engineer, Assistant Superintendent, or Estimator.
What you'll do#
- Interpret, coordinate, and maintain construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Develop and maintain logs for submittals, specifications, and RFIs.
- Review and expedite shop drawings.
- Assist in updating project schedules and using project management software.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
- Help acquire project closeout documentation.
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards, including conducting site-specific orientations and regular inspections.
- Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current college student pursuing a degree in Construction or a related field. High school students with a strong interest in construction may be considered.
- A fundamental understanding of project documents.
- Experience with Excel, Bluebeam, and Revit is a plus.
- Preference for candidates with past internships in architecture, engineering, or commercial construction.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Willingness to learn, be mentored, and solve problems proactively.
