About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Sales Internship based in Troy, Michigan, for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at a Textron business unit, supporting the Kautex sales team in the automotive manufacturing sector. Please note that this role requires US citizenship for security investigation purposes.
What you'll do#
- Review new or amended contracts to confirm they align with Kautex quotations, including price, capacity, and terms.
- Assist Sales Management with market intelligence, sales forecasting, and business development plans.
- Maintain strong financial control of projects by managing cash flow, invoicing, and financial tracking.
- Support the development and tracking of project-related Performance Improvement Action Plan goals.
- Track open customer issues, including quotes and orders.
- Process prototype and service orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sales, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills combined with clear written, verbal, and telephone communication abilities.
- A commercial understanding of business practices, including margin, profit, and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and experience with database management.
- Ability to manage multifaceted projects alongside daily tasks.
- A clear understanding of contractual conditions regarding the sale of purchased goods.
- You are resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to follow established processes.
- Prior experience in an automotive environment is a plus.
- Strong mathematics skills.
