About the role#
The Consultant Development Program is a paid internship designed to help you build the technical and professional skills needed to work as an Information Security Associate. As a Developing Consultant, you will join our client-facing team to support project delivery within our Enterprise Risk Management practice area.
What you'll do#
- Help develop and maintain Enterprise Risk Management programs.
- Conduct Enterprise Risk Assessments and analyze potential exposure at a strategic level.
- Perform Vendor Risk Assessments for client organizations.
- Create governance frameworks and strategies for managing information security.
- Provide advisement services regarding security risks.
- Plan and execute technical projects while documenting procedures.
- Assist consultants with client engagements.
- Observe internal and external penetration testing, social engineering projects, and security solution implementations.
- Learn about industry-standard frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in or a graduate of an accredited 4-year university or military equivalent.
- Basic familiarity with networking concepts like firewalls, routers, switches, and DNS.
- Experience with computer troubleshooting and server systems administration.
- Understanding of business planning and accounting.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks.
- Ability to write clear technical and expository documentation.
- Intermediate skills in Excel and Word.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities.
- A self-starter mindset with an interest in independent learning.
- IT, Cybersecurity, or Information Security certifications are a plus.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January 25 - April 2).
- Work Modality: On-site in Irvine, California, or Fairfax, Virginia.
- Status: Full-time internship.
