About the role#
As a Student Intern in Architecture at TESSERE, you will work under the guidance of a registered architect. You will support daily operations within your division and gain experience across various phases of design and construction.
What you'll do#
- Assist in producing elementary design schedules and schematics.
- Research, analyze, and prepare sheets for construction drawing sets.
- Build your skills in Revit and other AutoDesk tools.
- Support the construction phase through field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing record drawings.
- Check your work for accuracy before submitting it to the project team.
- Participate in team meetings and coordinate tasks with other staff.
- Attend available training and development sessions.
- Perform site surveys, including measuring and assessing project sites.
- Use mathematical and engineering formulas to determine dimensions and material quantities.
- Produce hand-drawn architectural lettering and rough sketches.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an architectural degree program at an NAAB accredited university.
- Ability to traverse uneven terrain, climb ladders or steps, and work in environments with construction-related dust or debris.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- Awareness of environmental hazards at construction sites.
- A previous internship in the architecture industry is preferred, though we will consider equivalent combinations of education and experience.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Wichita, Kansas.
- The internship follows a rolling schedule.
