As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will work at the intersection of design, production, and quality. You will contribute directly to processes that ensure high-performance components meet industry standards, helping to improve product reliability and support the launch of new electronics. You will work alongside professionals in engineering, quality assurance, and project management.
What you'll do#
- Create, revise, and review drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Participate in manufacturing process optimization, including proposing and validating improvements.
- Implement AI to automate repetitive data processing tasks across business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production challenges.
- Assist in the design and validation of test and manufacturing fixtures.
- Support validation testing, including data analysis and report generation.
- Gain hands-on experience with manufacturing processes such as brazing, welding, soldering, cobot systems, and automated testing.
- Present project progress to management and key personnel.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a junior or higher pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software, with a preference for SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of precision hand tools.
- Experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) is considered a plus.
- Must be a US Person (US Citizen, US National, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to facility access restrictions.
