The Data Center Engineering Intern will join the team for the Summer 2026 season to support the development of Hot Aisle Containment Systems, Structural Ceilings, Liquid Cooling Manifolds, and Modular Systems. This role focuses on a concept-to-product development project, providing hands-on experience with in-house manufacturing, and concludes with a final presentation to company executives.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with design engineers on new product concepts using extruded aluminum, structural steel, and polycarbonate.
- Utilize Onshape for 3D CAD design, 3D rapid prototyping, and first article testing.
- Maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and quality procedure documentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Relevant coursework in mechanical design, 3D modeling, manufacturing, and electrical service integrations.
- Experience with CAD software such as OnShape, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Working knowledge of technical drawing standards and practices.
- Expertise with electrical components, including circuit breakers, wiring, and power distribution, is considered an asset.
