This internship provides hands-on exposure to commercial finance within a manufacturing and engineering environment. You will support the team with financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives while developing practical business skills over a three-month term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in financial analysis and reporting for commercial operations, including revenue, margins, and cost structures.
- Analyze and develop standardization of material mark-ups on multi-million-dollar projects.
- Support pricing and profitability analysis for products and services.
- Conduct variance analysis between actuals, forecasts, and budgets.
- Help develop financial models for new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to evaluate customer proposals and ensure financial compliance.
- Track key performance indicators and prepare dashboards for commercial performance.
- Attend customer meetings, commercial negotiations, and discussions with senior management.
- Support ad hoc projects, including market analysis and competitive benchmarking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including those related to product compliance and the Code of Conduct.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset with an interest in commercial finance and business performance.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and formulas; Power BI exposure is a plus.
- Ability to work with data, draw insights, and present findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Duration: 3 months.
- Compensation: $16 to $17 per hour.
- Employment Type: Non-exempt, part-time internship.
