About the role#
This is a 16-month co-op internship based in Markham, Ontario. You will join our IP Group to focus on physical design and high-speed SerDes products. You will work directly with a local team of engineers and collaborate with global teams across Europe and Asia on R&D projects that shape future technology.
What you'll do#
- Design the physical layout of custom analog and digital components for advanced SERDES IP projects.
- Collaborate with local and global teams of analog, digital, and mixed signal engineers.
- Work on semiconductor technologies that define industry protocols.
- Contribute to project schedules and help meet product commitments for customers.
- Take ownership of specific component designs and key deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or a related field.
- You are in your 3rd year of study or the penultimate year for 16-month co-op programs.
- A basic understanding of electrical circuits and components.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
- Strong communication skills and the initiative to manage your own learning.
- Familiarity with TCL, Python, or other scripting languages is helpful but not required.
