About the role#
We are looking for a Sports Business Operations Intern to join our team in West Hempstead for the Summer 2026 term. This role provides hands-on experience in the operations of a youth sports organization. You will work on market research, business development, and marketing initiatives to support our programs across Long Island and Eastern Queens. This is an unpaid internship, though you may coordinate with your school to receive college credit.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of partnerships and outreach programs to grow our business presence.
- Assist the President and Partnerships Coordinator in managing relationships with our existing partners.
- Collaborate on marketing campaigns to promote our soccer classes and events.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitor strategies.
- Handle administrative and operational tasks to support daily business functions.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in business, sports, youth development, or operations.
- Excellent research and analytical skills as a self-starter.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with partners, coaches, and staff.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Access to a personal laptop and reliable transportation for local site visits.
- A willingness to work at least 22 hours per week, including availability on Saturday or Sunday mornings.
