About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in engineering problem-solving and operational support at our manufacturing facility. You will report to the Senior Industrial Engineer and act as a technical resource for our operations team. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Villa Rica, Georgia.
What you'll do#
- Lead or assist in engineering projects using MS Office applications.
- Conduct time studies, process mapping, and cost-benefit analyses to develop operational standards.
- Support logistics through reporting, business analysis, and data management.
- Research best practices, labor productivity programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with facility layout design and equipment placement.
- Participate in group meetings to provide feedback and contribute to performance, cost, and quality targets.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A strong grasp of engineering fundamentals.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project.
- Experience with Visio, SQL systems, and AutoCAD.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities as needed.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Prior internship or project experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment is preferred.
