About the role#
STV is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a paid, full-time position based in Atlanta, Georgia. You will work in a hybrid capacity, which requires you to be in the office at least 3 days per week. We prefer candidates who can commit to the internship for at least 3 months.
What you'll do#
- Assist in designing civil engineering projects from initial concept to completion.
- Ensure all designs meet regulatory standards and project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project needs.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
- Prepare technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
- Use software like AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop engineering designs.
- Apply current engineering standards and procedures to your work.
- Help prepare technical proposals and project documentation.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
- Knowledge of software such as MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or Open Roads Designer.
- Prior experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry.
