About the role#
StructSure Projects is hiring Construction Project Management Interns for the summer of 2027. This program provides students with practical experience in the construction industry by working alongside project managers, engineers, estimators, and field personnel. You will participate in the full lifecycle of projects from initial planning through completion.
What you'll do#
- Learn the construction process from preconstruction to final delivery.
- Assist project engineers with daily activities and documentation, including submittals and RFIs.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Use construction and project management software.
- Help with subcontractor proposals and documentation.
- Learn scheduling concepts and quality-control requirements.
- Gain exposure to RMS/QCS processes on government projects.
- Participate in meetings regarding budgets, schedules, owners, and subcontractors.
- Travel to active jobsites for hands-on experience.
- Explore areas such as estimating and Precon.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Interest in building a long-term career in the construction industry.
- Reliability and a willingness to take ownership of your work.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Eagerness to learn and a habit of asking questions.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Initiative to get involved with project tasks.
- Previous construction experience is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Kansas City, Missouri.
- The role is on-site.
- Travel to active project sites may be required.
