About the role#
SteelCell is looking for a drafting or engineering student to join our Fabrication Engineering team. This paid, part-time internship provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will work alongside our team to apply your drafting and 3D modeling skills to active fabrication projects.
What you'll do#
- Create 3D fabrication models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
- Prepare drawings that meet ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Collaborate with the drafting and engineering team on company projects.
- Use design resources and reference documentation to complete tasks.
- Follow all company policies and safety requirements.
What you'll need#
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are a senior-level student or have graduated within the last 12 months.
- You have authorization to work in the United States.
- You have experience with Autodesk Inventor and 3D modeling.
- You can read and create technical drawings.
- You are familiar with ASME Y14.5 standards.
- You are available for approximately 20 hours per week.
- You are willing to complete our onboarding and safety orientation.

- This is an on-site role in Baldwin, Georgia.
- The internship is scheduled for approximately 20 hours per week for 8 weeks.
