About the role#
The Staten Island FerryHawks are offering a Summer 2027 internship for students interested in digital media and sports marketing. This is an educational program designed for students to gain hands-on experience in a professional sports environment. Please note this is an unpaid position offered for academic credit only.
What you'll do#
- Observe and assist staff with short-form content creation for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Capture behind-the-scenes and in-game moments under staff supervision.
- Align creative projects with the team's promotional calendar and theme nights.
- Create practice content for staff review and feedback.
- Learn how to maintain a consistent brand voice across social channels.
- Participate in game-day operations at SIUH Community Park.
- Attend designated home games, including July 4th.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for communications, marketing, digital media, film, or a related field.
- Ability to earn academic credit through your school, with written confirmation of eligibility.
- Familiarity with photo and video tools or a portfolio of prior work.
- An interest in social media trends and storytelling.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Staten Island, New York.
- The internship runs during the Summer 2027 term.
- You must be available for designated home games, with call times starting at least 4.5 hours before the first pitch.
