About the role#
This internship provides a structured teaching and learning environment through the Career Pathways Program. It combines academic study with practical field work. Each intern meets with a program coordinator to review their curriculum and develop a plan that aligns projects and activities with their course study. This is a paid, full-time opportunity with rolling enrollment.
What you'll do#
- Provide mental health services and psychotherapeutic interventions to at-risk children and families.
- Develop and implement assessment documents and treatment plans.
- Deliver Intensive Home Based Services and individual rehabilitation.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including Child Family Team sessions and court proceedings.
- Document all Medi-Cal eligible billable and non-billable services.
- Coordinate support for caregivers and participate in on-call rotations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s level degree program for Associate Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Clinical Counseling.
- Current enrollment in a Master’s level intern or practicum course for Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, or Social Work.
- Ability to provide or arrange for safe transportation for youth and families.
- Academic background in Psychology, Sociology, or Public Health.
