About the role#
The Summer Engineering Intern will join our team for a 10-12 week program in Union, South Carolina. You will work within a manufacturing environment to improve operational efficiency. This role involves collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support plant-wide projects that enhance productivity and automation.
What you'll do#
- Develop automated systems to replace manual plant activities.
- Implement a Maintenance WO system and train machine operators and maintenance staff on its use.
- Streamline existing production tracking reports.
- Assist in LEAN events to drive continuous process improvements.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to support plant operations.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
What you'll need#
- 1-3 years of completed coursework in an accredited Engineering Program, specifically Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the MS Office Suite, with a focus on Excel.
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D is preferred.
