About the role#
As an Analyst at SPMB, you will join the engine that drives client success by combining research, technology, and human insight. This role involves building leadership teams for innovative companies while developing expertise in market dynamics, leadership trends, and organizational strategy. You will work alongside experienced search professionals, engaging with senior executives, founders, and investors across venture capital, private equity, and public company ecosystems.
What you'll do#
- Develop research strategies and draft reports outlining targeted industries and companies.
- Drive research efforts to ensure high-quality candidate flow by identifying top-tier executives.
- Leverage large language models (LLMs) to analyze new industries, market segments, and competitive landscapes.
- Design AI prompts to extract strategic insights regarding industries, companies, and executives.
- Act as a domain expert in the markets and verticals researched.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of candidate, company, and search records within internal databases.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree (business research internships are a plus).
- Minimum of one year of experience in a consulting, professional services, or sales environment.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering and AI-assisted tools.
- Practical experience leveraging LLMs like ChatGPT or Gemini for strategic and tactical research.
- Familiarity with business research resources such as PitchBook and Crunchbase.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Academic background in Business Administration, Economics, Communications, or Data Science.
