About the role#
As an Analyst at SPMB, you will join the team responsible for driving client success through a combination of research, technology, and human insight. This role involves building leadership teams for innovative companies across sectors including technology, financial services, and media. You will collaborate with search professionals to engage with senior executives, founders, and investors, while developing expertise in market dynamics and organizational strategy.
What you'll do#
- Develop research strategies and draft documentation outlining targeted industries and companies.
- Identify top-tier executives to ensure high-quality candidate flow.
- Utilize large language models (LLMs) to analyze market segments, competitive landscapes, and new industries.
- Design AI prompts to extract strategic insights regarding companies and executive leadership.
- Act as a domain expert in the markets and verticals under research.
- Maintain high data quality and accuracy for candidate, company, and search records within firm databases.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree; internships in business research are a plus.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a consulting, professional services, or sales environment.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering and the use of AI-assisted tools.
- Practical experience using LLMs like ChatGPT or Gemini for strategic and tactical research.
- Familiarity with business research resources such as PitchBook and Crunchbase.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Academic background in Business Administration, Economics, Communications, or Data Science.
