About the role#
Sony Corporation of America is seeking a law student intern for the Spring 2027 semester to support the Legal, Ethics and Trust Department. This paid position offers hands-on training within an in-house legal department. You will work 15 to 20 hours per week, with a mix of in-person time at our New York office and remote work. The pay rate for this role is $23.00 per hour, and you are eligible for overtime.
What you'll do#
- Assist lawyers with transactional, litigation, and corporate matters.
- Research legal topics and draft internal memos.
- Review agreements and various legal documents.
- Attend client meetings and participate in negotiations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ABA accredited law school.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Interest or coursework in technology, media, or related industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and see tasks through to completion.
- Honesty, trustworthiness, and ethical conduct.
- If seeking course credit, you must be enrolled in an ABA accredited law school internship, externship, or clinical program.
- Prior law firm or judicial internship experience is a plus, as is experience handling confidential information.
- You must be authorized to work in the U.S.
